On Medium: The Simplistic Myth We Tell about “Objective Truth”

Here's an article about the countercultural invention of objective Truth, the humanistic agenda of science, and why truth must be paradoxical for such a species of pretenders.

  1. The objective truth is the truth of the objective, towards the object: subject, abstract or concrete.

Objectivity is not the search for precision, but in the direction of an object.

''The absolute truth here would be whatever the noise is that’s made by the tree that falls in the forest, which no one’s there to hear.

What would a noise be, though, if there were no such thing as ears?''

It is a truth, by perceptive experience or logical knowledge that, eventually, trees fall in the forest.

It is not necessary to be present to witness a fact to know that it is true.

But if there weren't ears to witness it then there wouldn't be a truth about it, if the truth is totally dependent on the perception of a living being.

Objects are not truths, they are facts or ''truths of reality''.
They become ''true truths'' when we direct our gaze at them.

  2. If it can be destroyed by the truth, it deserves to be destroyed by the truth.
