I was talking about winners and losers in obvious economic terms. Losers would be defined by society as those who aren't close to being celebrities, and who are marginalized from the middle class, as opposed to being put on a pedestal by that class. So celebrities and the disenfranchised would share their estrangement from the middle class.
Oh, and that Davila quotation is pretty dumb. Theistic religion's vulgar compared to scientific naturalism.
